Sometimes people ask why we’re members of the Conservative Party and not one of the larger political parties. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo recently gave us the perfect rationale for our political affiliation.
In an effort to lock down the far-left Working Families Party endorsement, Cuomo recorded a video message that was delivered at the WFP’s May 31st nominating convention. At the 5:20 mark, Cuomo argues that it is "the leadership of the Conservative Party” that has been blocking the DREAM Act (which would allow taxpayer dollars to be expended to the children of illegal immigrants), the Women’s Equality Act (a.k.a. the Abortion Expansion Act) and public campaign financing (forced funding of political campaigns).
At the end of the day, we want to belong to an effective party that is making a difference in our state. We’ve found it in the Conservative Party. If you’re a fiscal and social conservative, we encourage you to consider registering as a Conservative.
Someone has to push back against this governor.
