Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) today announced that she earned an ‘A+’ on Susan B. Anthony (SBA) Pro-Life America’s National Pro-Life Scorecard for her dedication to protecting the sanctity of life in the first session of the 118th Congress.

The SBA Pro-Life America Scorecard takes into account votes, cosponsorships, letters, and actions legislators have taken to defend the right to life.

In just the first month of 2024, Tenney has already led multiple legislative efforts to ensure Congress protects and supports expecting mothers and their born and unborn babies. Tenney’s bill, the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, which prohibits the Biden administration from limiting the ability of states to spend Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds on pregnancy centers, passed the House by a vote of 214-208. Tenney also recently introduced the Unborn Child Support Act to enable expecting mothers to receive child support payments during pregnancy.

“We must continue to defend the lives of unborn children and stand up against the radical pro-abortion, anti-life agenda pushed by the Biden administration and members of the radical left,” said Congresswoman Tenney. “It is an honor to receive SBA’s highest rating on their national Pro-Life Scorecard; it further reiterates my commitment to standing for life and supporting expecting and new mothers. I will always stand up for the unborn and fight to protect the sanctity of life!”

“Rep. Tenney has stood up against the ever-growing anti-life agenda of the Biden-Harris administration and radical bureaucrats who are actively working to steer expecting mothers towards abortion and away from pro-life alternatives,” said Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, Vice President of Government Affairs for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. “Rep. Tenney has voted consistently to defend the lives of the unborn and infants. This includes stopping hard-earned tax dollars from paying for abortion, including abortion travel expenses, whether domestically or internationally, and pushing back on the administration’s extreme abortion executive actions.”
